1. Budo who?

What does BudoKin mean?

The name "BudoKin" can be translated as follows: Budo means "Way of the Warrior" in Japanese, and Kin is the abbreviated form of Kinsmen. These two words together represent the spirit and cause which BudoKin exists to propagate.

What makes BudoKin different form other websites like MySpace and Facebook?

Well the functions are essentially the same, but BudoKin has been made especially for martial artists. This means that the people you will find on BudoKin will have similar interests and motivations to yourself (providing you are a martial artist that is!)

If you're someone who takes pride in your art, and wants to escape from the mindless blather and annoying Facebook applications in order to showcase it, then BudoKin is for you!

We should also mention we have invested a lot of time and thought into making it more user friendly than other mainstream social websites.

Who made BudoKin?

BudoKin is the brainchild of Kam Low, a web developer and teacher of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Kam is extremely passionate about upholding standards in martial arts, and liberating people through knowledge. He has personally funded and developed BudoKin with these goals in mind.

Kam would like to invite everyone with a passion for martial arts to be a part of BudoKin's growth, and hopes that through BudoKin's success a new level of understanding and appreciation for martial arts will emerge.
